The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced that, effective from 24:00 on April 7, the prices of gasoline and diesel (standard grades) in China will be increased by 420 yuan and 400 yuan per ton, respectively.

PANews reported on April 7th that, according to the State Price Bureau, starting from 24:00 on April 7th, 2026, the prices of gasoline and diesel (standard grades) in China will be increased by 420 yuan and 400 yuan per ton respectively. This adjustment is to cope with the significant fluctuations in international crude oil prices and mitigate their impact on the domestic market. The adjustment is lower than the amount that should have been increased according to the mechanism (800 yuan/ton for gasoline and 770 yuan/ton for diesel).

PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, and other crude oil processing companies will be responsible for organizing production and transportation to ensure stable market supply and strictly implement national price policies. Meanwhile, relevant departments in various regions will strengthen market supervision and severely punish price violations. Consumers can report price violations through the 12315 platform.
