PANews reported on April 8 that the White House stated on April 7 that the United States and Israel had agreed to a conditional two-week ceasefire with Iran. However, two former senior Israeli officials stated that Israel believes a ceasefire is premature and hopes the military operation against Iran can continue for at least another month.
Israel is reportedly unwilling to back down and hopes the war with Iran will continue for at least another month.
