The US government transferred 2,438 seized Bitcoins to Coinbase.

PANews reported on April 11 that, according to Arkham data, a U.S. government address transferred a total of approximately 2.438 BTC to a Coinbase Prime address in two separate transactions approximately eight hours ago: 0.46 BTC and 1.979 BTC. These funds belonged to Bitcoin previously seized by law enforcement from Glenn Olivio.

According to The Block, it's not uncommon for the U.S. government to consolidate, hold, or transfer funds seized during investigations. Last month, government-linked accounts transferred funds connected to Ross Ulbricht (founder of the Silk Road darknet website, who has since been pardoned) and Chen Zhi (a Cambodian citizen suspected of involvement in a "pig butchering" scam). Also last month, the U.S. government transferred approximately $23,000 worth of Bitcoin from a wallet linked to "Miguel Villanueva."
