Iran confirms US-Iran talks have begun

PANews reported on April 11 that, according to Xinhua News Agency citing Tasnim News Agency and other Iranian media reports, Iran and the United States decided to begin negotiations, given the progress made in intensive consultations in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, the meeting between the leaders of Iran and Pakistan, the restraint of Israeli attacks in Lebanon, and the US acceptance of the proposal to unfreeze Iranian assets. Earlier, the White House denied claims that the US had agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets.
