Polymarket's prediction market briefly appeared on Google News; Google stated it was a system error and has since been removed.

PANews reported on April 12 that, according to The Verge, some of Polymarket's prediction market links briefly appeared in Google News search results, displayed alongside mainstream media news, before being removed. A Google spokesperson stated that the display was due to a system error, adding, "The website briefly appeared in Google News due to an error and is no longer displayed."

It is understood that prior to its removal, users discovered in event-driven searches that Polymarket's market predictions appeared below reports from mainstream media outlets such as Reuters and The Guardian. For example, when searching for "whether ships are passing through the Strait of Hormuz," related news and betting market information appeared simultaneously.
