PANews reported on April 12 that, according to the FT, Robinhood has proactively excluded some prediction market products due to concerns about market manipulation and insider trading risks. The company is highly focused on market manipulation issues when developing this business and will not offer all types of event contracts to users.
Recent incidents of "precise betting" have drawn significant regulatory attention. Furthermore, "market mentions" (such as betting on specific words to appear in public speeches) have been explicitly excluded from Robinhood's offerings due to their susceptibility to manipulation. Currently, Robinhood primarily provides compliant prediction market services through partnerships with Kalshi and ForecastEx. Its strategy prioritizes regulated platforms and products to mitigate risks associated with information misuse, insider trading, and cross-border compliance.
