Pakistan calls for a 45-day extension of the US-Iran ceasefire.

PANews reported on April 14th, citing Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, that a Pakistani diplomatic source stated that Pakistan is calling for a 45-day extension of the temporary ceasefire between the US and Iran. The source indicated that since the conclusion of negotiations last weekend, Pakistan has been in contact with multiple parties to establish broad consensus and strive for an extension of the ceasefire, or the resumption of technical-level contact between the US and Iran, paving the way for a second round of formal negotiations. Intermediaries have been assisting the US and Iran in exchanging information on outstanding issues, hoping to persuade both sides to extend the ceasefire for at least 45 days.
