Statistics show that at least 12 crypto entities were attacked within two weeks of the Drift Protocol attack.

PANews reported on April 17th that, according to Cointelegraph, at least 12 DeFi protocols and crypto companies have been attacked since the $280 million security breach at Drift Protocol on April 1st. Crypto protocols and companies attacked since early April include CoW Swap, Hyperbridge, Bybit, Dango, Silo Finance, BSC TMM, Aethir, MONA, Zerion, and more recently, Rhea Finance and the Grinex exchange.

In the past two days, Rhea Finance and its Russian-affiliated exchange Grinex were attacked, resulting in losses of approximately $7.6 million and $13.7 million respectively. Regarding Rhea Finance, attackers exploited a vulnerability in its margin trading function to perform pool manipulation, impacting the Rhea Lend smart contract. DeFiLlama data shows that in the first quarter of 2026, malicious attackers stole over $168.6 million from 34 DeFi protocols.
