PANews reported on April 19 that, according to Jinshi, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf stated in an interview with local media that Iran accepted the ceasefire to express its demands. Negotiation itself is a form of struggle, and Iran's main goal should be to advance and consolidate its national rights within this framework.
Speaking about the progress of negotiations with the United States, Kalibaf stated that the talks had not eliminated the distrust between the two sides, but both sides had gained a more pragmatic understanding of each other. Some issues were resolved in the negotiations, while others remained unresolved. He believed that the two sides still had a long way to go before reaching a final agreement. He also emphasized that Iran maintained its position on certain issues, and these demands were non-negotiable.
