PANews reported on April 28th that, according to CoinDesk, the Solana Foundation stated that its core development team, Anza, and Jump Crypto's Firecanver have reached an agreement on a quantum-resistant solution, both adopting a digital signature scheme called Falcon, and have begun building an early version. The Solana Foundation pointed out that the quantum threat is still several years away from becoming a reality, and the migration plan has been thoroughly researched, clearly understood, and is ready for deployment. Solana has proposed a phased roadmap: continuing research on Falcon and alternatives, introducing a post-quantum solution for new wallets if necessary, and ultimately migrating existing wallets. Within the Solana ecosystem, Blueshift's "Winternitz Vault" has been running on Solana as a quantum-resistant tool for over two years and was recently cited by Google Quantum AI.
