PANews reported on April 30 that several large third-party payment institutions, including Alipay, Tenpay, and UnionPay Merchant Services, successfully renewed their payment licenses. On April 30, the People's Bank of China released information on the renewal (renewal) of payment business licenses for non-bank payment institutions (May 2026 batch), showing that 17 institutions, including Alipay Payment Technology Co., Ltd., UnionPay Merchant Services Co., Ltd., Allinpay Network Services Co., Ltd., 99Bill Payment & Clearing Information Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huifu Payment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shengpay Electronic Payment Service Co., Ltd., Ping An Pay Electronic Payment Co., Ltd., Shanghai PayEase Payment Service Co., Ltd., Beijing Qianbaobao Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Yufu Payment Co., Ltd., Netbank Online (Beijing) Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Lakala Payment Co., Ltd., Yisheng Payment Co., Ltd., Xinsheng Payment Co., Ltd., Tenpay Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Yinsheng Payment Service Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Huanxun Payment Co., Ltd., successfully renewed their payment business licenses. Meanwhile, the renewal applications of 3 payment institutions were suspended, and the renewal application of 1 payment institution was not accepted.
The payment licenses of 17 institutions, including Alipay and Tenpay, were successfully renewed, while the renewal applications of 3 payment institutions were suspended.
