PANews reported on May 6th that Public, a multi-asset investment platform, announced its acquisition of Treasury App, an education-based investment platform. Following the transaction, Elias Rothblatt, co-founder of Treasury App, joined Public as Senior Director of Operations, responsible for advancing future investment products centered on AI. Treasury App users' assets and holdings will be automatically transferred to Public, with the portfolio structure remaining unchanged; users can choose to transfer to other brokerages via ACAT or sell their holdings and withdraw cash. Treasury App previously provided long-term investment education to the creator community, with over 40,000 users learning and investing over $100 million. Since its launch in 2019, Public has raised over $400 million in funding and manages billions of dollars in assets.
Earlier this year, Public announced its support for cryptocurrency transactions using U.S. individual retirement accounts .
