Seven major Bitcoin mining pools have joined the Stratum V2 working group to jointly develop open mining protocol standards.

PANews reported on May 10th, citing Cointelegraph, that seven major Bitcoin mining pools have joined the Stratum V2 working group to develop an industry-standard open protocol for communication between pool operators and their miners. According to Stratum V2's announcement, AntPool, Block Inc, F2Pool, Foundry, MARA Foundation, SpiderPool, and DMND have all joined the working group to develop a standard for pool communication. This standard is expected to shorten the time required for a mining pool to successfully mine a block.
