PANews reported on May 13th that DeFi protocol Avant announced on the X platform that, based on market feedback and its own assessment, it has decided to postpone its Token Generation Event (TGE) to mid-September. Avant stated that decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens are currently under pressure, and several protocols have recently experienced security incidents, which is unfavorable for launching token issuances. Avant Rewards points will cease accumulating on May 15th; previously earned points will be retained and can be used in subsequent TGEs. Avant stated that during the postponement period, it will continue to advance collaborations, increase Total Value Locked (TVL), and expand its product offerings. It also plans to hold a public Space event on Thursday at 2 PM Eastern Time.
