Iranian media: The US refuses to unfreeze 25% of Iran's frozen funds.

PANews reported on May 17 that, according to a report by Iranian media Fars News cited by Jinshi, the US refused to unfreeze 25% of Iran's frozen funds in its response to Iran.

The US reportedly outlined five key conditions in its response to Iran's proposal: the US would not pay any reparations or war damages; Iran would export and transfer 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to the US; Iran would be allowed to retain only one nuclear facility; the US would refuse to unfreeze Iran's frozen assets; and a ceasefire on all fronts would be contingent on negotiations. The report emphasizes that even if Iran meets these conditions, the threat of an attack on Iran by the US and Israel will persist. The report cites analysts who suggest that the US proposal is not aimed at resolving the issue, but rather at achieving political and military objectives that it failed to accomplish during the war through negotiation.
