PANews reported on May 19th that, according to Jinshi News, a US jury found OpenAI and its CEO Altman not liable to Elon Musk because Musk filed the lawsuit too late. The jury ruled that the allegations that OpenAI deviated from its "philanthropic mission" were time-barred and therefore not subject to prosecution. Previously, Elon Musk accused OpenAI of betraying its mission to benefit the public under Altman's leadership and transforming into a for-profit company.
The judge dismissed Elon Musk's lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Altman.
