Two more researchers have left the Ethereum Foundation, continuing the recent wave of resignations.

PANews reported on May 19th that, according to The Block, two more researchers have left the Ethereum Foundation. Carl Beek and Julian Ma announced their resignations on Monday. Beek is best known for his contributions to the Ethereum Beacon Chain, which supported Ethereum's 2020 upgrade to Proof-of-Stake consensus. Ma contributed to Ethereum's mechanism design, cryptoeconomics, and protocol extensions, including co-authoring FOCIL, which enhances censorship resistance.

Earlier this month, three leaders of the Protocol team announced their departure, following other senior executives who left, including co-executive director Tomasz K. Stańczak in February and Josh Stark in March. The Ethereum Foundation underwent a major restructuring last year and has recently been embroiled in controversy over allegations that it required employees to sign loyalty pledges.
