The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has granted NewBX a virtual asset trading platform license, bringing the total number of licensed platforms to 13.

PANews reported on May 21 that, according to updated information on the official website of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, Bixin, a digital asset trading platform under NewBX Limited, has obtained a license to operate a virtual asset trading platform. The entity is authorized to conduct Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 7 (providing automated trading services) regulated activities, and has also been licensed under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance to operate a virtual asset trading platform. As of now, the number of licensed virtual asset trading platforms in Hong Kong has increased to 13, with 6 applicants.
