PANews reported on May 22 that, according to PANews' monitoring, the Verus cross-chain bridge attackers have returned 4,052.4 ETH, approximately $8.5 million, to the team address, accounting for 75% of the total stolen amount. The remaining 25%, approximately 1,350 ETH, is kept in the attackers' wallet as a bounty.
On May 18, it was previously reported that the Verus-Ethereum cross-chain bridge was attacked, resulting in a loss of approximately $11.58 million .
