Former Ethereum developer: Many crypto industry metrics are "scams," the industry needs to confront the problems directly.

PANews reported on May 27th that former Ethereum developer Max Resnick published an article on the X platform criticizing various "metrics" in the crypto industry as essentially scams designed to mislead venture capitalists into continuing to invest. He cited restaking as an example, pointing out that the same ETH was counted at least 10 times on the same chart. Resnick stated that every time he carefully reviewed the definitions of these metrics on these websites, he found calculation errors or meaningless definitions that failed to accurately measure the intended meaning. He urged the industry to address the problem, stating that this is the first step in solving it, otherwise the situation will only worsen.

Previously, in December 2024, Max Resnick stated that he had left Consensys and joined Anza, the research and development company behind Solana.
