Apple's iOS 27 will redesign Siri and deeply integrate it with camera and system-level AI features.

PANews reported on May 28th that, according to Bloomberg, Apple plans to release its biggest Siri redesign to date in iOS 27, refactoring it into a system-level intelligent assistant permanently residing in the "Sleep Island" and adding a "Search or Ask" entry point, supporting voice and text interaction. The new Siri will integrate with third-party large models such as Google Gemini, supporting AI search, analysis of screen content and personal data, and providing a ChatGPT-like conversational experience through a standalone Siri app. Apple will also integrate Siri directly into the Camera app, supporting image recognition and reverse image search, while also introducing a customizable camera interface with professional controls, AI-powered photo editing features in Photos such as Reframe and Extend, and natural language-driven shortcuts and writing assistance tools.
