PANews reported on May 29th that Sui officially announced that the Sui mainnet experienced a network outage due to a bug in the Gas billing logic introduced in version 1.72, during which mainnet transactions and on-chain activities were temporarily suspended. The Sui Core team has completed an emergency investigation and restored mainnet operation. They stated that a full incident review report will be released later, disclosing the technical causes and fixes.
