Cardano's ecosystem data analytics platform, TapTools, will be gradually shut down following the departure of five senior executives.

PANews reported on June 3rd that TapTools, the Cardano ecosystem's real-time data analytics platform, announced a phased shutdown following the departure of five executives. TapTools stated in a post on its X platform that two co-founders, the COO, and the CTO left earlier this year, and the leadership instability made continued operation unsustainable. The platform will begin shutting down within the next two weeks but also indicated its willingness to accept acquisitions or external resources to maintain operations.

Launched in 2022, TapTools is one of the most widely used tools for Cardano users to track token prices, DeFi activity, and discover new projects. TapTools states that the infrastructure costs, development costs, and support costs of operating the platform are real, and the operating costs of serving an ecosystem at scale are high.
