Caixin: A wealthy female businesswoman in the cryptocurrency circle in China was defrauded of 60 million yuan in the United States.

PANews reported on June 11 that, according to Caixin.com, a wealthy Chinese businesswoman was defrauded of over $9.4 million (approximately 60 million yuan) in the United States. Her mining pool reportedly accounted for 9% of the world's total Bitcoin hashrate at its peak. She is Ms. Lü, the CEO of a computing power technology company in southwestern China.

It is reported that the wealthy businesswoman was set up by two brothers, Zubair, who claimed to be "Middle Eastern royalty." The elder brother claimed to be a "princeling of the Middle Eastern royal family," stating that his uncle was the Saudi Minister of Defense and controlled Middle Eastern family funds, international business relationships, and resources from local governments in the United States. The younger brother, by watching the American TV series "Billions," imitated the characters and played the role of a hedge fund manager. The two also successfully "hunted" Michael Smedley, the chief of staff of the mayor of East Cleveland, and tricked the wealthy businesswoman into signing a cryptocurrency mining farm development contract.
