PANews reported on January 16th that Cyvers Alerts detected an "address poisoning" attack involving approximately $509,000 USDT. The victim intended to transfer funds to address 0xe842…D3E6F, but due to the very similar capitalization at the end of the address, the funds were mistakenly sent to a fake address 0xe842…f3e6F. After the initial mistaken transfer of 5,000 USDT, another 509,000 USDT was transferred within two minutes. Cyvers is urging users to be vigilant and wary of address poisoning scams.
