PANews reported on August 19th that according to 9to5Mac, Apple has added native support for Anthropic Claude accounts in Xcode 26 beta 7. Related code indicates that support will be provided for Claude Sonnet 4.0 and Claude Opus 4 (released in May 2025). Previously, Xcode only natively integrated ChatGPT, requiring developers to access Claude through an API.
