PANews reported on June 5 that Avery Ching, co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs, attended a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Agriculture Committee and said that digital assets are not only used for speculation, but also build a new infrastructure that is transparent, programmable and accessible to all. He called for a clear and prudent regulatory environment for developers so that the United States can continue its technological leadership in the blockchain era, and thanked the committee for its united efforts to promote this issue. Ching also pointed out that Aptos was named after the California town "Aptos", which comes from the Ohlone word for "people".
