외신에 따르면, 제롬 파월 미국 연방준비제도(Fed) 의장이 11월 30일(현지 시간) 미국 상원 은행위원회 청문회에 참석해 "수주 내 중앙은행 발행 디지털화폐(CBDC) 관련 보고서를 공개할 예정"이라고 말했다. 지난 9월 파월 연준 의장은 "CBDC 도입 여부를 결정하기 위한 연구를 진행 중"이라며 "관련 보고서를 곧 공개할 예정"이라고 말한 바 있다.
