영국령 지브롤터가 정부 시스템에 블록체인을 도입하는 파일럿을 진행한다고 코인데스크가 보도했다. 이를 위해 라틴아메리카 암호화폐 거래소 비트소(Bitso)와 RSK 블록체인 개발사 IOBVlabs의 지원을 받는다. eGov 시스템에 블록체인 기술을 적용해 정부 프로세스 및 공공 상호작용 속도와 효율성을 향상시키는 것을 목표로 한다.
