PANews reported on January 17th that, according to CoinDesk, two independent miners each mined a complete block this week, earning approximately $300,000 in Bitcoin rewards. One miner mined a block on Thursday, receiving a reward of 3,157 Bitcoins (including transaction fees). The other miner received a similar reward, close to $295,000, for a block mined earlier this week.
