日本金融厅（FSA）已通过电子邮件向The Block证实，其根据《支付服务法》的定义将XRP视为一种加密货币，而不是一种证券。FSA拒绝评论其他当局的回应。此前SBI Holdings总裁北尾吉孝曾在推特表示：“日本金融厅已经明确表示XRP不是证券。我对Ripple将在美国的最终裁决中占上风感到乐观。”
