Chainalysis acquires AI proxy security startup Alterya for around $150 million

PANews reported on January 13 that according to Businessinsider, Chainalysis spent more than $100 million to acquire AI proxy security startup Alterya, and the specific valuation information has not been disclosed. Two sources familiar with the transaction revealed that the total acquisition amount was approximately $150 million.

Alterya has raised $9.8 million in seed funding from Battery Ventures, Y Combinator, NFX, and Nyca. Alterya is a graduate of the famous Silicon Valley incubator Y Combinator. The company has developed artificial intelligence technology that uses agents to detect and prevent fraud against financial institutions, fintech, and crypto service providers. Its customers include Coinbase, Square, and Binance.
