PANews reported on December 10 that Cos (Yu Xian), the founder of SlowMist, tweeted to remind that the recent popular Telegram Safeguard scams are mainly divided into two categories: stealing accounts and implanting Trojans. The former lures users to enter their mobile phone numbers, login codes or two-factor verification passwords. Users must remember not to provide this information. The latter is even worse. It uses fake channels to guide users to run a Powershell command, and eventually implants the Remcos remote control Trojan, completely compromising the computer. Users need to be wary of unfamiliar links and codes to avoid major losses.
