Arizona lawmaker introduces new bill to curb Bitcoin ATM fraud

PANews reported on February 9 that according to Crypto.news, Arizona Congressman David Marshall proposed House Bill No. 2387, proposing strict regulation of cryptocurrency ATM operations. Previously, a series of such incidents occurred in the state, including a woman who was defrauded of $17,000 by scammers. The proposed bill will implement a number of protection measures, including:

  • Daily transaction limit: $1,000
  • Mandatory state operator licensing
  • Required refund policy option
