PANews reported on June 3 that according to official news, the crypto exchange Kraken announced that its institutional custody service passed the SOC 2 Type 2 audit, which verifies the continued effectiveness of its security controls during the 6-12 month audit period. The audit was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is based on the five trust service principles of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. Chief Security Officer Nick Percoco said that this certification strengthens the trust of institutional customers in the integrity of the platform's operations, but emphasizes that security is a continuous process.
