Trump acknowledges that American consumers will bear part of the cost of tariffs, and may introduce a "Plan B".

PANews reported on November 7th that, according to Jinshi Data, Trump stated for the first time that American consumers "may" bear "a portion" of the tariff costs, but claimed that overall, they would still "benefit." This came after the US Supreme Court questioned his tariff authority, and Trump warned that an unfavorable ruling would be "catastrophic," stating that the government would immediately activate "Plan B. " When asked if he agreed that Americans should bear the tariff costs, he responded "disagree," but acknowledged that consumers would pay "a portion." The Supreme Court ruling may affect his future executive power to set tariffs.
