Turkish digital asset platform Paribu has acquired a majority stake in CoinMENA, valuing the latter at $240 million.

PANews reported on December 5th that, according to Reuters, Turkish digital asset platform Paribu announced on Friday that it has acquired a majority stake in Bahrain and Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange CoinMENA, valuing CoinMENA at up to $240 million. This transaction marks Turkey's largest fintech deal to date and its first cross-border acquisition of a digital asset platform. Paribu founder and CEO Yasin Oral stated in a press release that this deal is a "turning point" for Paribu's expansion into the Middle East and North Africa.
