The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission launched a staff fundraising campaign to cancel the annual dinner budget and donate the proceeds to an aid fund.

PANews reported on November 28 that, according to a statement from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the SFC and all its staff expressed their condolences for the fire at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po and launched an internal fundraising campaign to support the affected residents. The SFC will donate the proceeds, along with the budget from the cancelled December staff dinner, to the "Tai Po Hung Fuk Court Relief Fund" established by the Hong Kong SAR Government. The SFC appealed to its staff to provide voluntary assistance and to pay tribute to the frontline rescue workers.
