PANews reported on December 23 that ClickUp, an enterprise software company valued at $4 billion, announced its acquisition of AI programming startup Codegen. This deal is the latest in a wave of mergers and acquisitions in the AI programming field this year. This summer, Google's acquisitions of Windsurf and Cognition garnered significant attention, while this month, Anthropic acquired developer tools startup Bun, and Cursor acquired code review startup Graphite.
