Sonic SVM is officially launched based on Solana’s L2 mainnet Mobius, and launches a $2.4 million SONIC reward plan

PANews reported on February 28 that according to the Sonic SVM announcement, the Mobius mainnet, a Layer 2 expansion network based on the Solana virtual machine (SVM), was officially launched, aiming to enhance the scalability of Solana and provide a dedicated computing layer for high-frequency applications such as DeFi and GameFi.

Sonic SVM uses the HyperGrid framework to maintain full compatibility with the Solana ecosystem while reducing transaction costs, reducing transaction fees by 50% compared to the Solana mainnet, and providing millisecond-level RPC responses. In addition, Sonic SVM launched a mainnet reward program with a total of $2.4 million SONIC and a $1 million hackathon to encourage developers to deploy applications on Mobius. The first season of Mobius is now open and will last until April 10. Developers and users can enter the Sonic SVM ecosystem, experience on-chain games and DeFi applications, and earn rewards.
