F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun: Quantum computing is still a "bubble" and poses no threat to secp256k1 in the short term.

PANews reported on December 22 that Blockstream CEO Adam Back criticized Nic Carter for exaggerating the threat of quantum computing to Bitcoin. F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun subsequently agreed, stating that quantum computing is currently a "bubble," and even with advancements in Moore's Law, a substantial threat from secp256k1 (the elliptic curve cryptography standard used by Bitcoin to generate addresses and signatures) is still 30 to 50 years away.
