PANews reported on October 21st that according to CCTV, Liberal Democratic Party President Sanae Takaichi won the first round of voting in Japan's House of Representatives prime ministerial nomination election, becoming Japan's new prime minister. The Nikkei 225 index continued to rise after Takaichi's election.
