Warren and other US senators question Binance on whether it has fulfilled its 2023 compliance agreement

PANews reported on September 18th that, according to Bloomberg, US Senator Elizabeth Warren and others sent a letter to the Department of Justice, requesting confirmation that the cryptocurrency exchange Binance is complying with its 2023 settlement agreement for anti-money laundering and sanctions violations. The letter noted that the DOJ had previously only confirmed that Binance had paid all fines but had not clarified its ongoing compliance obligations. The lawmakers were also concerned about the DOJ's consideration of removing its compliance monitor and Binance's ties to businesses related to the Trump family.
