PANews reported on April 28 that a member of the crypto community previously disclosed that " a Web3 project contract was suspected to have been implanted with malicious code by an employee, resulting in a loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars ." Thomson, the developer of the DeFi trading and asset management project QuantMaster, said that he was the "victim of the theft" and, with the assistance of SlowMist founder Yu Xian, has successfully reported the case. The suspect has been basically identified, and there is a clear GitHub record of the person who submitted the code (an employee), and the device that submitted the code is also unique. Cursor has a complete AI local record, which has been checked to rule out the possibility of AI modifying the relevant code.
QuantMaster project confirmed that it was damaged by malicious code implanted by employees, and the developer reported the case to the police and identified the suspect
