PANews reported on November 7 that, according to CoinDesk JAPAN , the Financial Services Agency of Japan announced its support for a pilot experiment involving Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Mizuho Bank, and others to jointly issue a yen stablecoin, advancing it as the first case under the " Payment Innovation Project ( PIP )".
An empirical experiment supported by the Financial Services Agency of Japan on the joint issuance of a yen-denominated stablecoin by the three major banks.
