据businesstimes消息，周一，欧洲中央银行启动了一项公众咨询，并开始进行实验，以帮助决定是否为19国货币俱乐部创建“数字欧元”。欧洲央行此次进行的为期三个月的磋商将看到一系列有关数字欧元在未来六个月中可行性的实验。此前消息，央行的目标是在2021年中左右决定是否启动该项目。据接近该项目的消息人士称，该计划将需要“18个月到三、四年时间”才能实现。
