10月13日晚间，资产管理巨头富达旗下富达数字资产（Fidelity Digital Assets）发推公布其数字研究主管Ria Bhutoria最近研究报告。这份名为《比特币投资理论：比特币作为替代投资的作用》的报告指出，被调查的投资者中有近60％认为数字资产在投资组合中占有一席之地。其他具体内容还包括：1.比特币的机构投资者基础越来越大，可能会导致它与其他资产的关联度越来越高。2.比特币的基本面相对不受新冠肺炎所导致的经济影响，因为它的功能不以盈利能力或产量为基础，而且比特币本身就是数字化的。3.目前比特币的市场规模和交易量都很小，无法被视为一种独立的资产类别，并在投资组合中进行战略配置。然而，比特币目前被归类为一种替代投资，随着比特币的成长和成熟，以及投资者研究其特征，并不排除比特币成熟为一种独立的资产类别。独立投资和另类投资并不一定相互排斥，这取决于投资者。
