有分析认为，蚂蚁被列入美国“黑名单”的传闻很大程度上是象征性的，不会阻止蚂蚁上市或在关键领域（如区块链）进行投资，对蚂蚁的业务和IPO计划的影响都微乎其微。 10月15日，蚂蚁集团回应“被特朗普政府列入黑名单”传闻称：我们的业务主要在中国，我们对中国市场的增长前景感到兴奋，我们不了解美国政府任何有关的讨论。蚂蚁发言人还表示，蚂蚁集团上市流程正在有序推进，没有预设时间表，任何关于时间表的猜测，都没有事实依据。
