11月10日消息，据金融分析师Yaron Yitzhak表示，从比特币和S&P500指数的近几年历史走势数据来看，比特币并不能被最终证明是一种强大的多元化工具，不过鉴于比特币的价格幅度（或波动性）更强，以至于人们仍然可以说比特币在广泛的多资产投资组合中发挥了作用。但考虑到这些更为极端的举动，应该只将其视为投资组合的一小部分。
