PANews reported on January 7th that, according to an official announcement from BNB Chain, opBNB completed its Fourier mainnet hard fork upgrade at 11:00 AM (UTC+8) on January 7th, 2026. The core change was merging PR #305, reducing the block interval from 500 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, significantly improving transaction throughput and confirmation speed. CZ encourages developers to continue building and promoting the development of the BNB ecosystem.
